PCIT

Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence based therapy for parents and their preschool aged children (ages 2 through 6). PCIT has a dual focus of strengthening attachment between a parent and child while also reducing problem behaviors through specific parenting tools that are taught and practiced in session.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence based therapy for trauma. Consisting of 8 phases, EMDR seeks to lessen the sting of traumatic memories, remove negative thoughts about oneself and replace them with positive/adaptive ones, and to work through somatic triggers one might experience. EMDR is unique in its use of "bilateral stimulation" to assist in reprocessing traumatic memories. Many clients who participate in EMDR experience rapid alleviation of symptoms of trauma.

COUPLES THERAPY

Investing in your marriage is time well spent. I seek to listen to each partner and provide a safe, neutral environment for couples to communicate and learn to listen well. I believe that an ability to ask for and extend forgiveness is as important as great communication skills.

FAITH BASED COUNSELING

While I do not assume all clients wish to include discussions of faith in the counseling process, for those who do I welcome the conversation. As a Christian, I see the integration of faith and psychology as a strength.
